The Smithville Area Fire Protection District is seeking qualified applicants to fill 1 open Firefighter-EMT position.
Hiring requirements include:
19 years of age
Certified Firefighter 1 and 2
Missouri licensed or Nationally Registered EMT or Paramedic (those with National Registry must be able to obtain an EMT or Paramedic license from the State of Missouri)
Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) certification dated within the past year, (since 05-01-2024)
Documentation of a Fire Service Entrance Exam written test score dated within the past year, (since 05-01-2024)
An acceptable driving record
An acceptable background after a thorough investigation
A clean drug screen
Ability to pass a medical/fit for duty physical
